Sam's Make A Wish Trip ~ Day 2

Day 2-  Sam's Make A Wish Trip
Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios

It was the 4th of July so all I can say is the parks were CRAZY! Sam was having trouble first thing in the morning after taking meds so we learned we needed to find a place for her to take a short nap each day. We were able to see the "birdies" before we left GKTW. I am not even sure that Gwen knew Woody Woodpecker but it was fun to take pictures with them.

At the Magic Kingdom, they have a special Wish Lounge that is located in the first aid station between the Crystal Palace and Main Street. Shortly after we got there I took Sam to the lounge for a nap while Travis and Gwen rode a few rides that Sam wouldn't be able to ride. It was really nice to have a quite and cool place for Sam to rest with all the craziness of the day.

After a good nap she was good to go for several rides and character meet and greets.

We ate lunch at Be Our Guest which was a pretty neat experience. The food was okay but not the best we have eaten at Disney. You order ahead of time and they give you a red rose. They will then bring your food out to the table you choose. It was neat to see it snowing outside the windows and like everything at Disney the castle was amazing.

We then went to see a few more characters and another ride or two before Sam was ready for some rest.

We did go to Hollywood Studios in the evening since they were open late due to the 4th. The main problem is that most of the rides were closed so they could let off fireworks. It was pretty crazy at Hollywood Studios as well. They actually had people lined up all the way to the entrance of the park to watch the fireworks.

It was such a blessed day to see Sam meet Jessie, Woody and so many other characters she loves so much! Gwen was so excited to do the new Little Mermaid ride since she just finished the play. I can say that we actually did a lot more the years we went with Gwen, but we knew we would need to take things easy for Sam. A special thank you to all of the Disney cast members for going above and beyond to make Sam feel special.
